An absolutely MASSIVE 0.1.0 update

Ok I admit, the title might be a bit of an exaggeration, but let me just tell you how much have changed!

The main addition to the game is voice acting for Alisa, done by Eliza VTuber. For now she has voice lines for the most basic activities, but they're here and I personally really like them! Consider following Eliza on X https://x.com/elizavtuber and maybe commissioning her!

Oh and uh... you can hear my voice too! Kinda...

With that out of the way, let me show you the (almost) full list of changes to the game!

MAIN MENU

- Instead of immediately starting a level, you'll see a summary of it (name, description and difficulty). From that point you'll be able to either cancel or confirm your choice.

- Replaced "Martian Cowboy" by Kevin MacLeod with "A Riddle" by Erlend Flatin

- Added a "Credits" page

EDITOR

- Increased maximal width and height to 25.

- Added a "Modifiers" menu where you can:

* Change the treasure variant (it's only a cosmetic change, at least for now)

* Enable and adjust the time limit for the maze (running out of time will cause defeat)

- Slightly changed the ambient lighting

- Replaced "Decline" by Kevin MacLeod with "Intrigue" by Erlend Flatin

- You can now rotate miscellaneous objects (chests, gates etc.)

- Added a new category of maze objects: Allies

* Interacting with an ally gives you a side-quest

* Completing that side-quest grants you something useful

- Enemy descriptions now involve their eyesight and chase time (more on that in the later section...)

GAMEPLAY

- Added an intro sequence after the maze loads in

- The result screens after finishing a maze have been merged into one. Statistics are now displayed in a scroll view next to the result image

- The result screen displays new stats:

* Time it took to reach the treasure (unless the player didn't manage to do so)

* Collected loot

* Lost loot

* Remaining loot

* Collected items

* Used up items

* Kept items

- The result screen now shows what specific treasure did the player claim after completing the level

- Changed the music for success and defeat screens

- Added a status effect: exhausted

* Lasts limited time

* Will lower your default stamina regeneration from 5/s to 2/s.

* Walking while exhausted will halt the stamina regeneration

- Added a status effect: poison

* Will take 1 health point every 90 seconds

* Will not subside on its own. You have to find a cure

- Slightly changed the ambient lighting and added a black fog

- You can now go back to main menu in-game by pressing the Esc key twice

- Replaced "Blue Sizzle" by Kevin MacLeod with "The Dark Woods" by Erlend Flatin. The track will change versions depending on the level of tension

- Added ceiling that only appears in-game

- Rearranged the UI

- Added a text that shows your current objective

- Added sound effects for:

* Eating an edible item

* Losing a health point

* Picking up an item

* Starting a chase

- Added a new sound effect for when an encounter starts

- Your stamina will regenerate at a rate of 3/s when walking

- Running now makes noise that can be heard by enemies from 2 maze nodes away. Running too close to enemies that have a clear line of sight on you will lead to chase.

- You will receive tips for objects you cannot currently interact with.

* For example: if you face a node with darkness on it but don't have a torch, you'll get a tip "You might need a light source".

- Added a 3s safety window after each encounter (regardless of its outcome). This'll prevent getting a new encounter right after the first one.

* This is mostly meant to prevent potential bugs and softlocks

ENEMIES

- Enemies now have 2 new stats:

* Eyesight - The distance at which the enemy can detect the player. If the enemy sees you, the chase will begin.

* Chase time - The number of steps the enemy will take to pursue the player. If the enemy fails to catch up to you and you're out of their eyesight, the chase will end.

- Added a music track that plays during chase

- Fixed a bug that caused the player to turn to a random direction after encounters

- Keyword "Alert" has been renamed to "Alarm"

- Keyword descriptions have been remade to make them easier to understand

- Added a new enemy: Bat

* Dangerous

* Sleeper - Bat starts the game asleep. It'll wake up if you make noise. If you lose an encounter with the bat, it'll go back to sleep.

- Slain enemies will now disappear from the maze with a new particle effect

ITEMS

- Added a new item: Trespasser's Demise

* Valuable - A certain ally might like this

* Exposure - While this item is in your inventory, all enemies will know exactly where you are

- Added a new item: Antidote

* Edible

* Cure for poison - Will cure poison (duh)

- Added a new item: Ariadne's Dust

* Trail - You can leave the dust on maze nodes to make the navigation easier

- Items now have outlines in-game

- Fixed a bug that prevented the player from picking an item from a chest right after opening it

MISC OBJECTS

- Added Spike trap

* It'll activate after standing still for 2s.

* It'll take 1 health point upon triggering.

* Can only be triggered once.

- Added Hypno-smoke trap

* It'll activate after standing still for 1s.

* It'll make you exhausted for 30s.

* Can only be triggered once.

- Added Poison Dart Turret

* It'll shoot a poison dart every 30s.

* Poison darts inflict poison.

- Added Gate of greed

* Works just like normal gate, but instead of a key, you need 5 loot

ALLIES

- Added Wretched Angel

* Demands a valuable item

* In return you'll receive Creator's Amulet, a powerful item that allows you to remove up to 5 walls

OTHERS

- Added 2 premade mazes:

* Adventure begins

* Hidden gold
